The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that construction is planned on U.S. 1 in Bensalem and Middletown townships under PennDOT’s $116 million project to reconstruct, widen, and improve a three-mile section of U.S. 1 in Bucks County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Tuesday, April 1, and Wednesday, April 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures will be in place on U.S. 1 in both directions between Rockhill Drive and Fairhill Avenue for activation of a digital message board.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The work is part of PennDOT’s U.S. 1/RC2 contract that will reconstruct and widen U.S. 1 from south of the Rockhill Drive Interchange to north of the Penndel/Business U.S. 1 Interchange.
